Who can join?

Anyone can join the PPG if they are a patient registered with the Village Surgery. We aim to a have a group that truly represents the make up of the patients in terms of age, ethnicity, background, etc. Presently, most of the members of the group are 'retired' people, and we would warmly welcome younger working members. If you cannot make the meetings, you can be a virtual member, keeping in touch via email or accessing meetings via Microsoft Teams to let us know your ideas.

Meetings

We normally meet once every couple of months for an hour or so in the Village Surgery at 7.00 pm on a Monday/Tuesday evening every 2 to 3 months.

Patient Locality Group

Members of the PPG can also join the Newcastle Central Patient Locality Group. This group feeds back to the local Integrated Care Board, making sure patients can get involved with local health issues and putting the patient voice at the heart of the Integrated Care Boards decision making. It is our chance to influence how the NHS is run locally. You can download more information here. (PDF, 229KB).

Mission Statement

  • Being a virtual member and joining the group by e mail.

We do:

  • Have regular meetings in the practice with the practice team.

  • Work with the practice team to provide information and advice for patients

We will:

  • Strive to offer support and help wherever we can

  • Develop and provide a regular newsletter

  • Develop and maintain a website to work with practice website

Join Us!

We are not an exclusive group!

Any member of the practice who wants to be part of the PPG is welcome to join us for meetings.

Code of Conduct
